HEC - 90 Percent Category - Overseas Scholarships for MS-MPHIL leading to PhD in selected fields

According to the official website of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan (as of April-2016), under the category of "Overseas Scholarships for MS-MPHIL leading to PhD in selected fields - Phase-II (90%)", the scholarships are awarded every year for Direct PhD & MS/MPhil leading to PhD Program. Scholars are placed in those technologically advanced countries that have no/nominal/special tuition fee rates for which HEC and higher education agencies and universities in the host countries have signed MoUs. The process takes almost 10-12 months from scholarship announcement to award of scholarship. These scholarships are for all discipline however provincial and discipline quota is maintained keeping in view the national needs.

Overseas Scholarships (10% Category):

According to the HEC Pakistan, under this category (10%), scholarships are awarded every year for Direct PhD & MS/MPhil leading to PhD Program. Scholarships offered in HEC identified discipline wise world top ranked universities of the USA, UK, Canada Australia, Japan, Singapore etc. These scholarships are for all discipline however provincial and discipline quota is maintained.
